Mold generation
inside Blender
Stay in your modeling environment. Select any mesh, tweak parameters in the N-sidebar panel, and generate full mold systems as named Blender collections — no export, no context switch.
Everything you need in the N-sidebar
Full parametric control
Wall thickness, margin, key count and diameter, sprue size and angle, vent count — all exposed in a clean panel with sensible defaults.
Live bounding box preview
See the translucent mold box and parting plane update interactively before you commit, so you know exactly what you're generating.
Named collections output
Results land in Mold_Top, Mold_Bottom, Keys, and Sprues collections — clean, predictable, easy to hide/show and export individually.
Fully offline capable
Generate molds without any internet connection. Your models never leave your machine unless you explicitly click "Send to Cloud".
"Send to Cloud" button
One click exports your mesh to the MoldMaker SaaS, queues the job, and imports the results back — bridging local and cloud workflows.
Workflow presets
Ship with presets: "Rigid resin small part", "Silicone slip cast", "Flat base open face" — one click to load a proven starting config.
Installation guide
Takes about 2 minutes.
Download the add-on zip
Click "Download free" above. You'll receive a file named moldmaker_addon_vX.X.X.zip — do NOT unzip it.
Open Blender Preferences
Go to Edit → Preferences → Add-ons. Click "Install..." and select the zip file you downloaded.
Enable the add-on
Search for "MoldMaker" in the add-on list and check the box to enable it. A MoldMaker tab will appear in the N-sidebar.
(Optional) Link your SaaS account
Paste your API key from your MoldMaker account into the Preferences panel to unlock "Send to Cloud" functionality.
